Car travel on High Street is prohibited except for authorized vehicles and periodically sting ticketing operations are set up to catch violators.

19 (Bedford Road)

20 (College Bounds, Elphinstone Road, St. Machar Drive)

Most parking on campus is by permit only and is mainly for staff.  Parking at the Queen Mother Library is currently free, but they are in the process of instituting new regulations to include paying for this parking. Parking is free along roads around the University (such as Bedford Road and University Road).  Park only where there are no yellow lines along the curb.

Places to Eat

The Hub – There is a Subway on ground floor and numerous eateries upstairs on the first floor.wpid420-101-2246.jpg

Zeste – This is a slightly more expensive cafe but with a nicer atmosphere.

Crombie-Johnstone Halls – Here you can get cheap food, especially when you show a student ID.

Auld Toon Cafe – A small cafe on High Street serving prepared sandwiches, soup, and other baked goods.

St. Machar’s Bar – A pub on High Street offering typical pub fare.



Old Aberdeen Campus/King’s College

If you have trouble getting on-campus wireless access (once you have a log-on ID), then visit the Help Desk in the 100_6289Edward Wright Building.

The Queen Mother Library has DVDs (and VHS) for 3-day loans in the Heavy Demands Section.
